Zachary Groover is a career litigator and co-founder of Groover Hamilton. Mr. Groover’s practice focuses on handling property insurance subrogation matters. He has extensive experience handling and litigating all aspects of insurance subrogation claims in both state and federal courts throughout the country.

Mr. Groover graduated early from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in History and was a member of the Phi Alpha Theta honor society. He earned his law degree from Baylor University School of Law in Waco, Texas. In 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017, Mr. Groover was selected as a “Texas Rising Star” by Super Lawyers, a Thomas Reuters™ service, an honor held by only the top 2.5 percent of attorneys in the state.

When he’s not in the office, Zach spends his free time with his wife and three daughters (a four year old and twin two year olds). He enjoys being outdoors and training for his next marathon.

sl-jimJames Hamilton is the co-founder of Groover Hamilton and has spent his entire legal career dedicated to helping his clients recover funds paid out on property losses. He has litigated all types of subrogation matters, ranging from product defects to professional liability claims, against all types of defendants, including major multinational corporations and small independent contractors. Mr. Hamilton has extensive experience in federal and state courts across the country.  He believes that taking action and maintaining open communication with his clients are the keys to a successful subrogation program.

Mr. Hamilton graduated from the United States Merchant Marine Academy, where he earned an Academic Star, the prestigious “Top Watch” Award, and the Captain Roy C. Smith Award (for his work on civilian/military relations in the 21st century).  After working for several years in the corporate transportation sector, he returned to school and earned his law degree at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas. While there, Mr. Hamilton was a member of the National Mock Trial Team, an officer on the Board of Advocates, and was inducted as a member of the National Order of Barristers (Archie S. Brown Chapter).  Since practicing law, Mr. Hamilton has been selected as a “Texas Rising Star” by Super Lawyers, a Thomas Reuters™ service, in 2010, 2012, 2015, 2016, and 2017, an honor bestowed upon the top 2.5 percent of attorneys in the State of Texas.  After 13 years of service, Mr. Hamilton received an Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Navy Reserve at the rank of Lieutenant Commander.

In his free time, you can find Jim fishing with his son in the local pond.
